Overview

The HX-ET-SHEEP-02 is a compact electronic ear tag designed specifically for sheep and goats. At 4.5 grams per set it is light enough to avoid ear tearing in smaller animals, while still carrying a full ISO 11784 compliant FDX-B transponder.

The reduced tag surface also lowers snagging risk in scrub and fencing compared with cattle-size tags.

FAQ

Q: Why not just use the cattle tag on sheep? A: Cattle tags are larger and heavier, which increases snagging and ear-tearing risk in sheep and goats. This model is sized for small ruminants.

Q: Can the visual number match the chip code? A: Yes, we can laser print the same 15-digit code on the tag surface so visual and electronic IDs agree.
