Overview
A standard RFID tag placed on a metal surface loses most of its read range — the metal reflects and detunes the antenna. The HX-TAG-METAL-01 solves this with a built-in electromagnetic absorber layer sandwiched between the inlay and the housing, isolating the antenna from the metal beneath it.
The result is a tag that reaches up to 6 m on steel in UHF, mounted directly onto the asset with no spacer or standoff required. The rigid ABS housing is sealed to IP67 and rated from -40°C to +85°C, covering outdoor plant, cold storage and washdown areas.
